Vacation Pictures

Well, we got back from Mexico Saturday night and have been laying low at home since. We had a wonderful time and I just wanted to share some pictures and let you all know how it went.

There were a total of 19 of us on vacation. We went to the Club Med in Ixtapa, Mexico off of the Pacific Ocean. It was my Dad's side of the family that we were with courtesy of my grandma. I think Club Med vacations are the best types of vacations if you are planning one, especially when you've got kids.

The resort was beautiful!! The best part about Club Med vacations is that they have all kinds of activities planned for you to participate in all day and night. But if you want to be lazy (like I was) you can just hang out at the pool all day. They have fitness classes, sporting events, circus program, games, ocean activites and so much more! Every night they put on a show in the theatre for the guests. They also have AMAZING clubs for kids. This resort had clubs for kids as young as 4 months and as old as 17. The food was spectacular!! I definetly ate more this past week than I probably have all month! They have a huge buffet for all your meals with a variety of food. They also had two resturants that you could eat in (we got to try both while we were there). You will definetly never go hungary at this place because in between meals there is always food available. They had a really nice air conditioned bar to sit in when you got to hot. There was also a bar out by the pool and guys coming around the pool asking you if you needed anything to drink. Let's just say its hard to come home and have to do it all yourself!

The first few nights we were in a regular room and had issues with our air conditioning. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. So on Tuesday night we got upgraded to a suite!! We definetly did not need all the space but it sure was nice (and it was nice and cold). The cool thing about the suite was all the perks that went with it. We got room service, laundry service, soda in the fridge, turn down service, free internet service, it was pretty cool!!

Matt was much more active on the trip than I was. He went sailing, kayaking, did a kayak race in the pool, played flag football and beach volleyball, played tennis with my Dad, went zip lining with my sister and cousin and did rock wall climbing. We all know how Matt plays sports so of course he had a few injuries and sore body parts since he plays so intense.

As I said earlier I spent most of my time hanging out by the pool in the shade since it was way too hot to sit in the sun! Matt and I did both join some of our family members and swim with dolphins which was amazing!!

Cole spent most of his day in his kids club which was nice and air conditioned. They took the kids out on walks and played in the pool (which was about ankle deep but it works). He usually wasn't too thrilled to be going to club but luckly for us he calmed down pretty quickly and seemed to have a good time. His club only had kids ages 2-3 and had TONS of indoor and outdoor toys to play with for him. We usually took him out in the afternoon and took him swimming with us which he really seemed to enjoy. The ocean was pretty active so we only took him down there a few times.

Okay, that's enough from me. I've got some pictures to share now but am getting more later and will post those as well.

Oh that looks like so much fun!!! I'm sorry it was so hot, but it looks like you had a great time anyway.

Luckly the heat is not so bad when you are in a swim suit and hanging out by the pool.

At night when the sun went down it wasn't too bad, especially with the ocean breeze.
